In 2012, President Obama signed an Executive Order to provide temporary administrative relief from deportation for youth who entered the United States as children.  The relief is called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).  DACA is for a period of two (2) years (with renewals) and can provide for legal work authorization.  DACA has very specific requirements for eligibility and evidence.  This session will provide you the information you need to assess whether your client is eligible for DACA and how to prepare and file the application package.

Its As If It Never Happened...Or Is It? Expunging Your Adult Clients Criminal Records

Under Oklahoma law there are two types of expungements available to adults that have had contact with the criminal justice system.  The procedure that must be followed to obtain each of them is different, as is the relief they respectively give.  This simple fact provides numerous potential pitfalls for attorneys representing individuals seeking and expungement of their criminal history record.  Once you become familiar with the differences between the two expungements, you will be able to efficiently and effectively serve your clients in this area.
